I have not been able to sync at all in the last two weeks.
CO was syncing fine for two months, then all of a sudden failed to restore synoronization after I changed some previously synced tranjactions on PDA, This happened to me before and every time I would lose planner and custom reports, Restore from backup never works - CO immediately asks to reset database.
This time, however, it just keeps on re- syncirg the entire d/b over & over.
I uninstalled both Desktop & PDA |

oops... I am posting from PDA, so I can't edit.
So, I uninstalled PDA version, deleted CO databases, uninstalled PC version, reboot both machines, re-installed v. 7.23 using windows initallation file. Reboot.
CO Sync asks me for Money file password but not for it's location - which makes me to suspect that Uninstall didn't clear all data.
It syncs all transactions after several syncs, until all data looks pristine.
I add a single transaction using Express.
All of a sudden, it fails to sync again.
This is it. I give up.
I suspect that changes file gets corrupted and Uninstall doesnt clear all data. I am on vacation, once I come back I will manually clear all CO entries in Windows registry and whatever other garbage it leaves behind, and would attempt to sync the last time. If this doesn't work, I'm out of options. I used v,6 for over a year without a single problem. I have non-stop sync problems with v.7 on same Money file. |
