Hi,

I have tried, uninstall & reinstall, remove WMDC, reset partnership, but I just cannot sync my CO with MS Money.

Everytime after the new installation, it will have a "Setting" link under CO in the sync setting in WMDC. But when clicking on the link, the message "No Setting Available" will pop up and after that, the "Setting" link disappear.

Does anyone facing the same problem? any solution?
I send my question to Inesoft support but didn't get any reply from them.

Exactly the same problem of 'no settings available'. Tried all the re-installing etc etc and decided it was wasting to much time.

As this software has been purchased from inesoft and they say it works with Vista & WM6 the support seems a bit missing on a product not working on what it says its meant to.

waiting for inesoft to reply..............and in the mean time trying the ultrasoft preview, which works.

any reply inesoft please??? , as I do like the program and ideally would like to carry on using it ??

I had the same problem but finally I found the way to fix it.
Open your registry editor (Start Menu -> Search - Type "Regedit") and navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{49C8A62E-5FDD-4c57-A5D3-7236B3863CE7} ->InprocServer32.
Once here create a new string.
String=ThreadingModel
Value=Apartment

You should now be able to sync with WM6.

F5NLU, thankyou so much for your suggestion. It works perfectly and now I have CO7 (30 Sept Beta) on my WM6 machine synching perfectly with Vista 32. All the settings are there, data transfers as it should. Again thankyou.
Wasyl, can you include this reg change in the next Beta to stop people having to mess about with regedit, which is spooky stuff.
Cheers Very Happy Very Happy

I´m from Spain. I tried the trick that is exposed to synchronize with P Money and has proved satisfactory. Thanks to F5NLU.

I will bring the Money Premium Plus, I suppose it will work like the Money 2007 Premium.

By the time a new version of CO?

Greetings to all.

I tried this, the exact step is create new "string value", and you need to do it twice, once for each of the two lines of code you gave us, correct?

Provided I did that correctly, it achieved nothing at all. There still are the same sync errors as before.
Thank you,
Nathan

The value name of the string is ThreadingModel and the Value Data is Apartment all on the same line.

Hope this helps,

Lilia

Since I don't really know what I'm doing, all I can say is the only editing choice that seems similar is "string value", and then type the string in the format given (xx=yy). This ends up in the window that also gives the address of the file. I tried this with the beta software, and it prevented the phone from syncing at all, so I then deleted these two lines of code, which fixed overall syncing, but leaves this application not working.

I had previously reported that I was able to sync my WM6 device and so it was right out of the box....until I did a hard reset of the i760.

After I reinstalled the software, I have not been able to sync at all. Without the registry tweak I get an error message that CO requires attention. If I do the registry tweak mentioned elsewhere on this post, I get a message that the aync server has stopped working. If I delete CO (or just uncheck it from the sync list) everything else works.

So it has to be something deep within the bowels of WM6.

I didn't realize how much I depended on having my financial data on my phone until I lost the ability to use it.

So, if any of you smart people out there find another trick, please post it.

I am having the same problem. The settings screen did not come up in Vista, so I entered the reg key as stated above. However, this caused an error to come up on sync: "Windows Mobile Device Center Sync Host has stopped working".

I was able to extract the error message below from the debugger. However, it doesn't tell me anything. Anybody here know how to read it?

Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here the debug log:

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

PostPosted: Thu Jan 17, 2008 2:54 am    Post subject: Found solution to the syncing problem!!!! Reply with quote

Hello,
In one of the other threads on this forum, milesbeverley, posted that the syncing problem was caused by the upgrade of the WMC from 6.0 to 6.1.

I found the original version of WMC (6.0) at the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=83D513EA-9DF9-4920-AF33-3A0E2E4E7BEB&displaylang=en

I uninstalled the 6.1 version, installed the 6.0 version and Voila!!! Cash Organizer started working again. Furthermore, I did not even need to make the registry change that has been posted in this thread to get it to work.

My CO is version 7.23 and is now syncing between my Vista Home Premium desktop and my WM6 device (Samsung i760). I am using Quicken Premier 2008 for desktop finances.

Thanks so much, milesbeverley, for discovering the root of the problem and the solution. I hope that the problem with syncing will be fixed on a future version of the software.
