One handed sms sending challenge

In the Phone Select window, could you please enable the select key (when you press down on the 5 way nav joystick) to trigger the send sms function instead of the make a phone function?

As it is, pressing the green phone key phones the contact and pressing the red phone cancels the attempt to call. Given the sms icon is in the middle, it stands to reason this should send an sms.
