I have no sucess in installing Inesoft Cash Organizer Sync.CAB (tried both the 2005 version and the new 2007 version).
I receive the message 'Installation of Inesoft Cash Organizer Sync.CAB was unsucessfull'.
I had a trial version of the 2005 version working very well, and ever since I payed for the software I cannot use it.
I suspected this is due to some residual info that the trial version left on my K-Jam, but even after a hard reset I cannot install.
I am trying to install on the SD card (instalation in main memory is out of the question - I selected to buy the software partly since the trial version worked well off the SD card).
As a first step, does anyone know how to manualy remove the unsuccessfull installation (yes, I have a registry editor)?
Also, is there a log file that gives some more info about the possible instalation error? |

Did you remove Cash Organizer 2005 before you tried to install version 2007? There is clear instruction at http://inesoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14 how to upgrade. Now you're trying to overwrite files that are in use. Disconnect your mobile device (if connected to PC), remove Cash Organizer from your PC and Pocket PC, manually check Program Files folders on both computers for Cash Organizer folder and delete it, restart/soft reset your computers and then try to reinstall the program. |

Yes, I did.
Followed the detailed instructions again:
* Disconnected PC and iMate K-Jam
* Uninstalled on Pocket PC (received a message saying that uninstall was not complete).
* Looked for 'Program Files\Cash Organizer' in main memory and in SD card. Was found in SD card, and removed.
* Soft reset.
* uninstalled on PC.
* Connected, ActiveSync / Tools / Add Remove Programs, removed 'Inesoft Cash Organizer Premium'. Received message on iMate the uninstall is not complete.
* Verified that no 'Cash Organizer' folder exists in C:\Program Files on PC.
* Disconnect iMate, Soft Reset.
* Reboot PC
--------------------
* Installed the SW on the PC (received two messages about programs that will get installed on iMate).
* Connected iMate.
* ActiveSync on PC shows: "Inesoft Cash Organizer2007 Premium" is already installed. Do you want to proceede with the re-install/upgrade?

Do not use ActiveSync if you want to remove programs properly. On your Pocket PC you will find a Remove Programs tool and remove Cash Organizer and Cash Organizer Synchronizer programs using it.
ActiveSync can't remove some programs properly because it does not stop running synchronization services. |

This is what I did.
I am repeating the steps with more details:
- Disconnected PC and iMate K-Jam
- On iMate: Start / Settings / System / Remove Programs:
- "Inesoft Cash Organizer 2007 Premi..." / Remove
- "The selected program will be permanently ... Are you sure ... ?" / Yes
- "Do you want to keep Cash Organizer database for further use?" / No
- "Do you confirm erasing ... ?" / Yes
- "Inesoft Cash Organizer 2007 premium was not completly removed. Do you want to remove it from the list of installed programs?" / Yes
- On iMate: use "Total Commander" to look at:
- \Program Files\ - no "Cash Organizer"
- \Storage Card\Program Files\ - no "Cash Organizer"
- On iMate: Soft reset.
- On PC: Start / All Programs / Inesoft Cash Organizer 2007 Premium / Unistall:
- "Are you sure you want to completely remove Cash Organizer 2007 premium 7.16 and all of its components"? / Yes
- "Cash Organizer 2007 premium 7.16 was successfully removed from your computer" / OK
- Verified that no 'Cash Organizer' folder exists in C:\Program Files on PC.
- Connected, let ActiveSync sync the two systems
- Installed the SW on the PC:
- Execute CashOrgEnPremium.exe. Contents of setup screen:

Active Sync's 'Add Remove Programs' screen pops up
A new progress bar titled 'Installing Applications' pops up, progresses and completes (does not close yet)
New dialog titled "Application Downloading Complete" sais: "Please check your mobile device ..."
iMate screen asks 'Select a location to install "Inesoft Cash Organizer Sync"'. I select \Storage Card, and hit "Install"
iMate screen displays progress bar saying "Installing .." and then it sais "Inesoft Cash Organizer Sync cannot be installed"
Help please!
