I have some suggestions which would make Cash Organiser even better.
* The ability to re-order the toolbars (I do not use Budget or Project)
* The ability to save the order in which the reports are shown in My Reports
* The ability to Skip a scheduled transaction in Planner
* The ability to sort by column in the Register as can be done in the Planner
* Indicate in the Payee List which payees are hidden
* Options selected to be saved with data so if you restore from a backup you do not lose your settings eg column layout.
Errors that I have found with CO 2007 on my IPAQ
* In the Payees list, when you select a Payee Property it shows todays date and not the date of the last transaction (even after you run the update)
*The Payee hidden option does not work.
All in all the improvements are great, in particular the Payee & Report improvements

What for? Do you use Payee and Categories often?

As far as I can remember, this feature is available since we developed the My Reports.

It's possible to freeze a scheduled transaction.

No sort. Transactions keep an account balance history.

No changes are scheduled. There are more important tasks to do like a Quicken sync. Maybe later. |

Yes, more often than Budget or Project

Yes but the order is not saved when you exit

OK, is it the same thing.

Would't the balance be recalculated

I realize that this is not important but all my comments were just offered as suggestions to be considered.
You did not comment on my 5th point. ie the one about the hidden Payee's not working or being indicated on the complete list or the date error in the Payee property _________________ Thanks

You may also simply delete a scheduled transaction from the account register window (not from planner window). This way it simply skips one transaction, and shows the next scheduled occurence. This way you don't have to go back later and "unfreeze" it. |

|
|
Aside from what I consider to be minor buges that are being addressed, the only major feature that "in my opinion" is missing, is the ability to sort the register columns.
This feature would be a great aid when reconciling the Cash Organizer register to a bank statement. The search feature is good but, being able to sort on the payee and/or the debit amount columns would make balancing a large number of entries much faster. It eliminates the need to write or key in an amount or payee name and the wait time for the search feature to work. This is a technique that I often used when using Microsoft Money and Quicken. _________________ Randy Moore |
