|
|
I'm using CO 2005 Premium, build 2006.06.19 v.6.98.5. I'm in the US and only use US currency.
Last week, all of the sudden when clicking OK to complete a transaction, I'm presented with a screen entitled Confirm Currency Exchange Rate. I must click OK to apparently convert USD to USD. The From field in that screen is populated with "US Dollar". The To field is blank. All newly entered transactions appeared in the register preceded by USD. Tools | Options | Currencies had no entry at all, so I added US Dollar and it identified itself as default. All new register transactions then lost the USD designation and now appear in italics. All new transactions still present me with the Confirm Currency Exchange Rate screen. I then tried to delete the US Dollars default entry and it wouldn't let me.
What happened? and what can I do to avoid the confirmation screen?
Ideas appreciated... _________________ Eric

I've downloaded CO2007 beta now. It seems to work fine, and syncs with Quicken, but... I still get the currency conversion confirmation screen in the process of saving a transaction. I didn't have this screen pop up before, and don't know why it started. I'd really like to go back to the way it was previously but don't know what to do. Any advice on this subject? Wasyl? _________________ Eric

The currency exchange screen shouldn't be there for every transaction should it? All my transactions are USD, and it never popped up before.
Please answer my repeated requests for help.
Thank you,

This is a strange bug. Did you change Quicken multi currency support feature? Try to enable it even if you do not need other currencies.
To force Cash Organizer to check its database for errors and eventually repair it, run the program and soft reset your mobile device. |

Great catch Wasyl! The problem is fixed.
I first tried soft reset with CO running, with no change to the problem.
Later at home, I found and checked the multi-currency box in Quicken, quit out of Quicken and sync'd. On the PC, a box popped up proclaiming that the Argentine Peso had been changed on both the PC and mobile device. I chose to use the data on the PC and active sync showed 111 items needed to be sync'd. After Sync, I entered a transaction normally (without the currency exchange screen appearing).
Thanks for you help and for a great program. _________________ Eric
